Introduction

The Jockey Club Continuing Coach Education Programme offers accredited coaches of the Hong Kong Coaching Committee (HKCC) various thematic seminars and workshops. All activities under this Programme can be counted as the Continuing Coach Education Hours under the Accredited Coach Renewal Scheme of the HKCC.

Objective

  1. To provide the latest sports coaching theories and practical experiences
  2. To enhance the quality and recognition of accredited coaches, and
  3. To encourage exchange and communication among coaches of different sports.

Depending on the topics and speakers, classes will be conducted in Cantonese, Putonghua, English or other languages. Interpretation services will be provided if the situation requires.

Requirement

  • Holding a valid Hong Kong Coaching Committee Coach Accreditation Card, and
  • The following related coaches are welcomed to participate, depending on the contents of each event:
    • Coaches of National Sports Associations.
    • Coaches of the Hong Kong Sports Institute.

Depending on the number of hours and mode of study.

Career Prospect / Pathway

Coaches can enhance personal professional levels and competitiveness, by earning Continuing Coach Education Hours to renew their Accredited Coach cards through Hong Kong Coaching Committee’s Accredited Coach Renewal Scheme. Some Continuing Coach Education Programmes may have specific requirements. Coaches can earn designated qualifications after completion.
