Hong Kong Coaching Awards

Introduction

Since 1993, the Hong Kong Coaching Awards have been the annual extravaganza of the sporting arena. There are seven award categories. Nomination is normally accepted in every December, and results are announced in April the year after in the award ceremony.

Objective

To commend the dedication and contribution of coaches in nurturing Hong Kong athletes.

Judging Panel

• Appointed by the Hong Kong Coaching Committee
• Representative from the Sports Federation & Olympic Committee of Hong Kong, China, Hong Kong Sports Press Association and the Hong Kong Sports Institute

Awards

• Coach of the Year Awards
  For coaches who have led their athletes/team to attained significant improvement in international competitions under their training.
• Coaching Excellence Awards
  For coaches who have led their athletes/team to achieve excellent results.
• Best Team Sport Coach Award
  For coaches whose team have achieved excellent results.
• Distinguished Services Award for Coaching
  For coaches who have made outstanding contribution in coaching local elite athletes and Hong Kong teams in the past ten years.
• Coach Education Award
  For those who have made outstanding contribution in coach education in the past five years consecutively.
• Community Coach Recognition Awards
  For coaches who have made special contribution in training athletes/teams in the community.
• School Coach Recognition Awards.
  For teachers who made special contribution in training athletes/teams in schools.

• The Hong Kong Coaching Awards accepts nomination in every December.
